The Neptunes are the best producers. I don’t care what anybody says. Nobody can compare to The Neptunes so don’t bother arguin. They are the definition of the new shit, so universal and versatile. Pharrell is a genius…superproducer, rapper, singer, song writer and clothing/shoe designer. And with his superproducer/songwriter partner, Chad Hugo, it’s already a done deal. The difference and what makes them so great is that they can play their own instruments. They can go from makin beats for pop, rock, hip hop, r&b, etc. They’ve pretty much written every hook that they’ve made a song with. There’s not many producers out there that can do that same thing. If you have your own favorite producer other than The Neptunes then that’s cool. But I bet you that they can’t touch all the genres of music that The Neptunes touch and come out with a hit everytime they touch it. Now I know people most see The Neptunes as commercial producers for the likes of Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Nelly but if they really wanted to they can make shit for real artists like Clipse, Common, Nas, and Lupe Fiasco. I bet most songs y’all love and can jam to are produced by The Neptunes. Without a doubt, Pharrell and Chad are a dynamic duo that will blow your minds. The Neptunes are the best.

Pharrell and Chad are reported to have agreed to work on the first new material since the hip hop superstar’s retirement, with 2003’s “The Black Album”.

Williams, who is one third of N*E*R*D with Chad Hugo and rapper Shay, is also understood to be preparing to begin work on the follow-up to 2004’s “Fly Or Die”.

He explained: “We’re going back in. I would like to have a first single drop in the first or second quarter of next year.”

Speaking about The Neptunes linking-up with Hova, Williams told Billboard: “I don’t like talking about sh*t like that – I like people to hear the record.

“Different people inspire different things from me so the songs (I produce) are never going to sound the same. I used to have a formula maybe six or seven years ago but that got boring.”

Pharrell is expected to release his long-awaited solo LP, “In My Mind”, on July 25.
